![]() We had a really awful meal, based on that I wouldn't consider returning. Reading other reviews on TA I guess we must have just been unlucky, most people seem to have had a good time here. We gave up after the meatball fiasco… ate some flatbread drank our beer and got out. Ate a couple and left the rest House potatoes were terrible, I’ve no idea how they were cooked, with some red and white flavourless liquid (I think they call it sauce) thrown over them. Pan fried prawns were terrible, tasted like they were cooked for lunch and reheated for dinner. Eventually another lady (waiter or manager I still don’t know who they were, there was no conversation, I felt like they thought we were being fussy) came and took them away. Told the waiter, I explained they were tasteless I was offered salt and pepper. Arancini was tasteless and inedible, lots of colour from the beetroot, no taste, and no goat’s cheese. The flatbreads (basically pizza) were very tasty. ![]() We ordered flatbread, house potatoes, Salt baked beetroot & goats cheese arancini and pan fried prawns with a couple of beers. It’s well worth paying a visit to and should also be kept in mind for any corporate events or very fancy birthday parties in future.Needed some nibbles on a Friday night before a theater date. The further you walk down the hallway the more impressive it becomes. i can honestly say I’ve never seen Swordfish served at such an event before! On the launch night they brought around samples from their tapas menu, including smoked trout and swordfish. Opposite the bar area is a functioning brewery, making this one of only two pubs that also function as a brewery in the city centre. A lot of their stock is the O’Hara’s range, but they’re not limited to that. There are 2 small caverns when you enter the downstairs area that would make a really cool space for small groups of around 15 people or so.įurther on there is a horse shoe bar serving some excellent beers on rotation. Underneath the CHQ building are a series of caverns, and they really seem to have made the most of this already beautiful space. But, it’s when you go downstairs that you really see just how superb this new venue really is. Upstairs the bar opens out onto a terrace area, getting plenty of sunlight and that area is impressive and pleasant in its own right. We though we’d share a few photos and thoughts with you. We had the pleasure of attending the launch night of ‘Urban Brewing’, a new bar in and under the CHQ building in the IFSC earlier this week.
